Keep your texts private by replacing your desktop text messaging with this password-protected app. Keep prying eyes out of your text messages. Don’t worry when someone wants to “borrower your phone” that they will easily find and read your text messages.

Switch out the standard text message icon for something that looks like another app. It does not remove or change your old text message icon (you will need to do those changes). This is not a calorie counting application – but it might help you count your friends!

Using the App:
Once on the home screen you will hit the “more” button (any other button will give you an error message informing the person that the subscription has expired) and go to the next screen. On this page you will type in your “subscription” password (no subscription is required for this app – we just make it look like it!) and it will allow you to log into your regular text messages. You also have a “Search” and “Configuration.”

“Search” gives you a single hidden contact – messages do not show up on your regular text client. When you receive a message, you also get a “themed” notification that tells you your subscription has expired. Of course, there is no subscription, but no one will know! Even if they do, when you try to access it, it asks for the password!

“Configuration” is where you change the app password, view the log file to see if there have been any failed attempts since the last time you logged in or modify your shortcut.

Remove the “messaging” icon from your Home screen to make it hard for people to find your messages. Make your password a single character for quick access! Your messaging icon may remain in the app drawer with all your other apps. The main feature is to allow you to get to your messages through a “decoy” icon so someone cannot easily get into your text messages.
