This plugin for Twidroyd (f.k.a Twidroid) gets the current location either via GPS or coarse location and shows it on a Google Map. The location can then be attached to a Tweet either as a link to Google Maps or as a geo location annotation.

Please make sure you Enable geotagging in your Twitter profile.
